Newtown Stage Company is excited to be offering our very first summer program for 5-8 year olds!! Join Miss Jane and Miss Alexa for this fun, week-long introduction to theater, a playful experience designed to teach young actors the basic concepts of performing on stage through improv games and creative play. On the last day of the program, we will have a casual performance for family members. Once enrolled, you will receive a confirmation email from Newtown Stage Company with further information and instructions on how to make your tuition payment.
The dates are Monday through Friday, June 23rd through June 27th from 9am until 12pm. The fee for this program is $315.

We cannot wait to welcome English Bernhardt and Sarah Crane to Newtown Stage Company on Sunday April 27th! English is a powerhouse performer who played Cady Heron on the Broadway National Tour of Mean Girls after covering Cady, Janice and Regina George! Sarah is a performer as well as a Director/Choreographer and she was also in the cast of the Broadway National Tour of Mean Girls as the Dance Captain and an Ensemble member.
Participants in this class will spend one hour working with English on character work, improv and acting technique. Additionally, they will spend an hour working with Sarah where they will learn choreography straight out of the Broadway show! After spending two-hours working with English and Sarah, we will have a Q&A for our participants to ask questions!
This master class is open to performers in 6th through 12th grades. The cost to participate is $75. Space is limited!
Newtown Stage Company invites young performers who are currently in 3rd grade and beyond to join us for a special Aladdin themed Broadway Masterclass! Lauryn Ciardullo was in the original Broadway cast of Aladdin, where she played Princess Jasmine along with many other roles over her seven years in the show.
Participants in this 90-minute workshop will first learn to sing a group number from the show. After they have learned the song, Lauryn will teach the original choreography from the Broadway production! After learning the song and dance, kids will have an opportunity to ask Lauryn any questions they might have about her career and time on Broadway.
The cost to participate is $65. Registration is limited!
In this six-week course, professional dancer/actress Sari Reid will teach two different musical theater numbers with original choreography from two different genres from fun, popular shows. After signing up, you will receive a link to the songs we will cover to you can be familiar with the lyrics, though no singing is necessary. Please wear comfortable dance shoes or sneakers. This class is open to rising 6th through 12th graders. If time allows, students will have the opportunity to try their own hand at choreography! The cost is $250 and we will demonstrate for parents at the end of the last class. This workshop will run from 1:30-2:30 on Mondays from July 7th through August 11th in the Alley Room next to the NSCo Office at the Edmond Town Hall. Space is limited!
SOLD OUT!! We are very excited to bring Broadway's Elphaba and Wicked musical director to Newtown Stage Company! Mary Kate Morrissy has been playing Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway since the end of 2023. Before that, she toured the US as Janice in the first Broadway National Tour of Mean Girls! Dan Micciche has been working with Wicked as the Music Director and Conductor for 9 years, both on Broadway and with the National and International Tours. He is also known for being the youngest actor in history to play Mary Sunshine in the Broadway production of Chicago!
Participants in this class will be asked to prepare 16-32 bars of a song of their choice to perform. Singers will take turns performing for MK and Dan so that they can receive feedback and adjustments from them. After everyone has had a chance to sing, we will have a Q&A for our participants to ask questions!
This master class is open to kids in 5th grade and beyond. Space is limited!
Seussical Jr. is open to young actors entering 3rd - 8th grades in Fall of 2025.
